The Manifesting Sign:
Origin & Community Adoption

How Signs Are Born

In the Deaf community, not every word has a direct sign and vocabulary isn't created overnight by a committee. For a new sign to take root, it has to happen naturally. It requires checking in with the community, feeling out the language, and honoring our shared visual experience.

My Journey & The Origin of This Sign

Manifestation isn't just a concept for me, it is the very foundation of my spiritual coaching journey. Stepping into this practice transformed my life and led me directly to the work I do today.

As a spiritual coach and ASL educator, I recognized a deep need for a sign that truly captured the heart of this work. Manifesting starts with how we think, flows into how we feel, and ultimately turns into magic. I came up with this sign because it felt aligned energetically and intuitively right.

When I shared it, the response was incredible. As an educator who holds our language with deep respect, I feel profoundly honored that the community loved and accepted it! The sign spread organically from person to person, finding its authentic place in our shared language.

Language is Moving & Multidimensional

In ASL and spiritual practice alike, there are no rigid "right or wrong" answers. Other signs for manifesting exist, each carrying its own nuance and context. What makes this path so powerful is watching how an intentional creation born from my personal spiritual journey; was embraced, validated, and woven into the living visual lexicon by the community itself.
